Scientific Research NOAA Greenland - June 2007 - ACR team supported Greenland expedition by Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES) and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) investigators in evaluating the potential of UAVs and their sensor capabilities in support of arctic research. Greenland - July 2008 - NOAA and University of Colorado researchers employed ACR’s Manta UAS to collect data as part of their Multi-sensor Cryospheric Observational Experiment (MUSCOX)over portions of Greenland ’s ice sheet. Scripps Maldives - March 2006 – ACR supports a scientific research consortium led by Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California, San Diego, to track pollutants responsible for dimming Earth's atmosphere using the unprecedented autonomous operations and stacking of three Manta UAVs. UC San Diego - May 2008 - ACR supports Scripps Institution of Oceanography Scientists using the Manta UAV to help assess Southern California's potential for climate change and better understand the sources of air pollution. Beijing - August 2008 - Scripps Institution of Oceanography teams with ACR in efforts funded by the National Science Foundation to assess the meteorological impact of the industrial emissions halt initiated by the Beijing Summer Olympics.
